This book was very deep. The thoughts, the ending, it was all just... wow! Initially, the ending bugged me. The ending of the Giver was the most open ended ending I've ever read. Lois Lowry said that many people were frustrated with the ending of this book. Looking back, the end is alright, but still not my favorite. If you are dis-satisfied with the end, I would highly suggest reading the next 3 books. But YOU MUST READ IN ORDER!! I cant' stress this enough. I feel as thought the whole plot is ruined through not reading the whole book. It's very thought provoking, and causes good conversations; even if you don't like the book. But... I did love this book, and would definitely show it.
